Kiddy Grade Movie’s & Kiddy Girl-and note: The Kiddy grade movies, “Ignition”, “Maelstorm”, and “Truth Dawn” are nothing more then compilation of this TV series. “Kiddy Girl-and” series takes place after Kiddy Grade.

Plot: Humanity has developed faster then light travel, expanded in to the universe, and colonized many planets. The Galactic Union acts as a governing body for the universe, and the GOTT (Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs) acts as a sort of police force. This series is about Eclair and Lumiere (her partner), who are “ES members” of the GOTT, a secret group of individuals that have special abilities. ES members are assigned extremely difficult, and senetive missions that only there talents can handle.

Review: Kiddy Grade starts out as a seemingly light hearted anime, with a touch of fan service (not too excessive). The series does ramp up the level of seriousness and become’s much darker then it presents itself in the beginning. The series does a great job of character development mixed with some pretty intense action sequences. There are several, significant, unexpected plot twists. The focus of the series is mainly about Eclair and overcoming challenge’s from both within herself, and what confronts her.

My Grade: 4 out of 5 / “Loved it”
